What I’ve done, what I’m doing and where I’m going!

February 3, 2011 Leave a comment

Wow, the last year has been amazing.

I’ve accomplished quite a bit in 365 days. What about you?

Do you ever look back over the year and contemplate on your successes.

In the last year, I’ve developed an audio interview series called “Passions to Profits”, created a coaching program called “Millionaire Mastery”, and launched a marketing training program called “Zero Frustrations”.

Trust me, it was a lot of hard work.

Oh, I can’t forget about “Success Secrets TV” an online show dedicated to helping entrepreneurs stay successful.

And the over 200 articles I written for my blog, or submitted to various outlets.

Recently I crafted a 4 page full color response-driven monthly client newsletter that any business can profit using. Again, very grueling, time consuming, hard work.

And, over the next month I’ll be producing several instructional web based videos showing clients how to harness the true power of the internet and maximize their profit potential. This my friends is going to be a monthly paid service that walks you step by step revealing secrets, tips and tricks that will enable you to capture more clients, make more money and boost your rankings. More hard work planned.

Yes, it’s all hard work. But, it can be very rewarding too!

Without the writing, I would have never developed the newsletter. Without interviewing people for my audio series I would have not had the confidence to do the online TV show or produce the new instructional web series.

And, frankly without consulting my clients and learning from them, I would not have the inspiration to do what I do!

Thank you for making everything possible!

Until Next Time,

P.S. A great way to keep clients coming back month after month is with a client newsletter. Not just any newsletter, one designed to trigger sales, enhance referrals and keep clients focused on you. To see how my Ultimate Newsletter can help you…go to http://robanspach.com/clientnews.html

Are you being true to yourself?

Which version are you?

Which what am I? What bloody nonsense are rambling about now Rob?

Stay with me, I’ll explain!

You see, I’ve become a big fan (more like an obsessed fanatic) of the show “Lie to Me”.

It’s a show centering on reading peoples emotions, facial expressions and body language to see whether or not they are telling the truth.

The show’s main character Cal Lightman argues that there is always more than one version to any story. Your version and…well, the real one. It’s getting past the lies that we find the right answer.

I’ll ask you again…which version are you?

Is it real? Or is it the perceived version that we have been tricked to believe is the real one?

Your mind has a way of altering, shielding and changing versions of reality it can’t handle.

Some entrepreneurs and business owners do this to themselves to explain poor performance, lousy sales and lost clientele. We make excuses! We tell lies and change the stories to fit the version we want others to hear.

“It takes a tremendous act of courage to admit to yourself that you are not defective in any way whatsoever.” – Cheri Huber

The truth is we are powerful!

We can stop living the lie at any moment and stop being the victim of the version we created.

All you have to do is act!

I’ve seen entrepreneurs who within months of realizing that the lies were holding them back were able to completely reenergize and transform their business, their lives and their version into a profound statement of happiness.

We convince ourselves that it’s just a white lie, or a small coverup…but after awhile our brain convinces our body that the lie is the truth and limits what we can do…it holds us back.

It’s time to beat those lies back, take action and set yourself on a course that will have a long lasting positive effect on your success.

Until next time,

P.S. A book I highly recommend you read… a book that’s been in my personal library for the last ten years and has helped me with how I cope with my versions is called “17 Lies That Are Holding You Back & The Truth That Will Set You Free” by Steve Chandler

It’s The Law!

I noticed that when I’m in-tuned with my passion, and excited for what I do…everything seems to flow and fortune shines on me.

And, when I’m in a rut…things seem to never go the way I want them to go. Sometimes, negative occurrences seem to abound and multiply.

It’s not just me! I know others that are like this! Take time to read half the Facebook posts and you’ll see that the world is full of people who are either hitting the mark and achieving one success after another or seem to be the person caught in the riptide of life.

Then I remembered…

It’s the Law! Or should I say Laws!

The Laws of Attraction.

By following the Laws of Attraction you can minimize your rut time and maximize your successes.

I want to share with you 6 tips that will keep the Laws of Attraction working in your favor all the time.

1) Have a positive attitude – when you have a positive outlook, chances are it will attract other positive people, effects and transformations in your life.

2) Visualize your end results – make a mental picture, and visualize where you want to be in life, or what you wish to accomplish or experience.

3) Affirming your desires – writing down your goals, or saying your desires over and over. The more often you say them the likelier it is that they will come true.

4) Keep you eye on the goal – the more focused you are on your goals the more likely you will achieve them

5) Move forward – take action! You need to stay focused and keep moving forward toward your goals and aspirations.

6) Have an attitude of gratitude – Until you are grateful for what you have, you can not expect new things to come to you.

If you allow the Laws of Attraction to work for you (and yes they work in strange ways) you will have more successes and be able to leap over ruts in your life with ease. However, not using the Laws of Attraction can have a negative impact on your life and make those ruts feel more like canyons of despair that you can’t climb out of.

Stay Positive!
Visualize Your Results!
Affirm What You Desire!
Eye on the Goals!
Move Forward!
Attitude of Gratitude!

Until next time,

Three Simple, Yet Powerful Questions

That totally rocked!

Just wrapped an interview with Ken Glickman for my Passions to Profits audio interview series, and yes, it was amazing!

This interview is jam packed full of brilliant nuggets of information. Ken reveals simple steps to better public speaking, how to build relationships, secrets to direct mail, reshaping the bureaucracy of our mind, and even Angelina Jolie.

Yep, even Angie gets a mention!

But what really impressed me was something so simple…

Actually 3 little somethings…

More like questions!

Here they are!

Where are you?

Where do you want to go?

How are you going to get there?

These three simple questions may not sound powerful…yet they are!

Where are you? Is where you are in your business (or life) where you want to be? If not, then where do you want to be? More sales? More money? More clients? More happiness? More freedoms? Better relationship? Okay, how will get those things?

By asking yourself these questions everyday… you start to reshape the thoughts in your mind…and soon you’ll notice that you are exactly where you wanted to be.

Until next time,

P.S. If you are not happy with the direction your business (or life) is going… it’s time to ask yourself some important questions, then take action.

Words of Wisdom!

Today I met an elderly oriental man! And he shared with me some very powerful words of wisdom, that I thought I would pass on to you.

But first…

Let me tell you a bit about this man I met.

In the few minutes I was talking to him, he told me that he came to the United States in 1969 with his wife and nine kids. (Yep, nine! The man was blessed with patiance.)

He told me that he was lawyer in his native country but because of the way the law is practiced in America he forced to take up a new career.

He worked 2 jobs and went to school at night just so he could give his kids what they needed in life. He completed a four year degree in computer technology in just two years.

He worked for the Army and Navy as computer consultant.

He then worked 23 years as a computer analyst for a major corporation. Thinking that the company he worked for would never fail, would always be there, and would continue to be a global powerhouse…he invested most of his life savings in the stock.

Two years after he retired, the company filed bankruptcy. His retirement nest egg gone!

His son stepped in to help his father out and bought him a new house to live in.

As I was listening I could picture in my mind how this man is like a typical business. Starting out in one field then over time switching into other fields of service that although look promising and may support the company ultimately end in disaster.

Unlike the elderly man whose son came to his rescue…most businesses don’t always have the luxury of a white knight to rescue us.

Back to those words of wisdom… “Don’t work hard…work smart!”

In life (and business) we have a misbelief that working hard will give us a nice reward… when all it does is teach us that everything we worked hard for can be taken away.

Start to work smart and you’ll see you are working half as hard as you used to, and most likely making twice as much money.

Until next time,

“Live with passion”

Rob Anspach

www.robanspach.com

P.S. His son, the one who bought him a house, never went to work for someone else. He created a dynamic internet based company and probably never has to work a day in his life if he doesn’t want to. He worked smart not hard!

P.P.S. A great book I would highly recommend you read, is called “Bank on Yourself” by Pamela Yellen. I had the opportunity to interview Pamela for my “Passions to Profits” series… and let me tell you, she is one smart women. If you like to learn about Pamela or about Bank on Yourself… go to www.bankonyourself.com

You snooze, you lose!

Have you ever heard the expression… “You snooze, you lose!”

I bet you have.

I would also bet, just like most people who set their alarms to alert them when it’s time to get up…you have also pressed the snooze button once or twice…to catch that extra minute or two of sleep.

Hey, I’ve done it too.

It got to the point where I would reset my snooze button and dive back to sleep, that my wife would end up smacking me to wake up. Oh, she would always say it was to turn off that blasted alarm sound… but I know she really just wanted to get her morning smacking in.

My son likes to test the boundaries of his snooze alarm powers…he usually loses! Although, I get punished for it… by having to drive him to school.

Unlike our alarm clocks at home to remind us when its time to get up, our entrepreneurial clocks sometimes aren’t as accurately tuned.

Projects get postponed because there isn’t enough time.

Or perhaps, we just don’t feel like breaking out of our comfort zone.

Or maybe, we are disorganized, and just don’t know where to start.

We press that snooze button!

We are not ready.

And, we lose out!

What if you could dramatically cut back on the use of the snooze button at work? Would you? What if a six letter word could help you do just that, would you use it?

In my “Passions to Profits” interview with Barbara Hemphill (author of, Kiplinger’s “Taming the Paper Tiger” series)… I get Barbara to “spill the beans” on getting organized at work and developing a SYSTEM. (yep, that’s the six letter word)

SYSTEM is actually an acronym for…

Saving
You
Space,
Time,
Energy &
Money

Imagine, if you had a SYSTEM in place that would enable you to get projects done faster, be more organized, and help you stay on track so you don’t have the urge to press the snooze button.

Until next time,

P.S. “If you snooze, you lose!” will be a thing of the past when you follow a SYSTEM to guide you along.

The OnStar Effect!

March 19, 2010 Leave a comment

“This is OnStar how may I help you Mr Jones?”

“Yes, my marketing sucks, what can I do?”

Discover three ways to put your website on steroids and
give it that “Onstar effect”!

Imagine, if you could call a 24 hour service and be connected instantly to a marketing specialist.

And why not?

Your marketing doesn’t turn off when you leave the office. It’s needs to be like OnStar… helping callers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Unfortunately most website need to be more interactive, more helpful and be able to answer customer questions at all hours of the day (or night).

Live chat is a cool feature to have on your website. It can provide that “OnStar like” live solution to monitor and deliver answers at any time. There a many companies that can deliver a live chat – but the one I recommend is www.chatwise.com .

How would you like to direct your website viewers to highlighted areas, or items you want them to be aware of…kind of like OnStar directing you through traffic… well I would suggest you check out www.getstandout.com. I actually did an interview with Charlie McDermott – for my “Passions to Profit’s” series – what an awesome guy (you’ll see him & his son on the “get stand out” site) .

Another tool to use in your 24 hour marketing toolbox is a toll free consumer information hotline. This is where potential clients can call and listen to a free recorded message about your products, services or special messages at anytime of the day. One of the best companies I ‘ve found to help you automate this process is www.automaticsresponse.com

Well, there you go, three awesome ways to keep your marketing delivering 24 hours a day directing callers right to where you need them to go.

Wait, that third one isn’t a website feature! I see you’re paying attention!

You need to think outside the box on this one! The free recorded message can be advertised on your website. So if viewers don’t want to chat, they can call and listen without fear of being pressured or swayed. “Listen to our free recorded message and discover 3 ways to put your website on steriods and give it that Onstar effect” – call anytime!

Your website doesn’t have to be a static billboard!

It does need to attract, and direct viewers to where you want them to go!

Until next time,

Live with passion

rob@robanspach.com

P.S. Go have some fun this weekend! Get out of the house! Go see a movie! Unwind! Do something! Take your mind off of business for 48 hours. Then on Monday, start implementing ways to attract & direct viewers to get more out of your website.

Curiosity

March 10, 2010 Leave a comment

Did you read my post yesterday? The one where I talked about Swipe and Deploy?

Well a majority of people who did read it, responded! They had a burning desire to know the link where they could get their own Top Secret black envelope containing some of the world’s greatest marketing.

I received email after email begging me, to send them the link as fast I could. In fact, I received 3 emails from the same person within an hour’s time, wondering why I hadn’t sent the link out yet.

I wrote the post for one reason. Well, maybe two!

You see, my goal was to build up your curiosity…

…then to try to compel you to take action.

Based on the responses… I believe I acheived both.

It’s down right devious of me to use your own curiosity against you isn’t it?

Well, curiosity is one of those human traits that we entrepreneurs need to tap when we market to our customer base.

Can you remember a time you bought something based on curiosity?

Well, I can?

You see, I had just watched a commercial for Red Bull, the stuff that gives you “wings”. Well, I fell for it! My curiosity got me! I just had to try this stuff.

Let’s just say… that first bottle, was my last.

It’s that curiosity that… well, can compel people to open up their wallets, send an email requesting more information, or even call a special consumer hotline to listen to a prerecorded message.

Storytelling!

March 8, 2010 1 comment

I bet you love a great story, don’t you?

I know I do!

I remember as a kid, my parents would tell me stories of long lost relatives, and it intrigued me. I would would fantasize about life so long ago.

I can picture in my mind the motorcycle accident my grandfather was involved in, which claimed the sight of his right eye. I was never there, in fact I wasn’t even born when it occurred… but the stories I’ve been told… I can see it as it really happened.

Or, how my wife’s grandfather would tell the story of how he came to America in the early 1950′s from southern France to Pennsylvania with just fifty dollars in his pocket.

If you ever get to meet my friend Sal, he kind of looks like Emeril. He can hook you in with his stories, his life growing up in New York, and his experiences being a boxing coach…you just don’t want him to stop. It’s riveting.

I even get a “kick” out of my brother-in-law telling me about his karate adventures.

It’s all about storytelling!

I recently did an interview with Joe Sugarman for my “Passions to Profits” audio interview series. If you don’t know who Joe is…well, besides being one of the foremost experts on copywriting, the guy responsible for launching BluBlocker sun glasses and author of many awe inspiring books, he is also a master storyteller.

“Dramatize an offer to make it interesting!”

Joe would weave stories about his experiences into his sales letters, advertising pieces and even his infomercials. Those stories would build drama, curiosity, fear or excitement. They would make you laugh or cry. They would get you involved and make you part of the story. And in the end, they would ask you to do something… buy the product!

Yep, a great storyteller can capture peoples attention and get them to buy from them.

Do you have a story to tell?

I bet you do!

I bet your story, behind how you became an entrepreneur is fascinating.

You should tell it.

Until next time,

P.S. When you listen to my interview with Joe Sugarman, you’ll discover a fascinating story about Batman and how 250,000 plastic cards almost spelled the end of our copywriting hero.

Romancing the client!

February 4, 2010 Leave a comment

The other day I spoke about the “Passions to Profits” interview I did with my buddy David Gruttaduario… if you haven’t gotten a chance to listen…here’s the link once more.

www.robanspach.com/passions2profits.html

During the interview, I was talking to David about his passion for newsletter creation and relationship building and one of the concepts we discussed was “Romancing the client”.

And just like how we romance our spouses, boyfriend or girlfriend, or (and to be politically correct) our signicant others…to keep the spark and love alive…we must also romance our clients.

No, I’m not talking wine & dine, chocolates and roses, or jewelry and trinkets.

I’m talking about good ole-fashioned hand holding!

(WHAT?!)

Oh, Yeah!

Hubba-Hubba!

No… really… well, it’s something like that!

As David states in his book, Newsletter Secrets, “The success of the relationship is determined by the amount of effort that goes into it.”

So when you “romance the client” your end goal is building a lifelong relationship.

And, like your marriage, if you’re only romantic once a year with your spouse say on Valentines Day – thats not building romance…nor will it build a lifetime relationship.

The key to “romancing the client” is to keep it real, keep it interesting, show them that you care, deliver on your promises, and keep in touch.

The best way to “romance the client” and build a powerful relationship is with a monthly newsletter.

And here are 5 ways a newsletter can build that precise level of romance every month.

The first one is trust! Now I know what you’re going to say…how can a newsletter build trust? Well, it’s quite simple…and I’ll explain…when you get a newsletter every month, your client gets to know you a little better and time goes by they trust your advice and you become like family.

The second one is honesty. Yep, good ole’ honesty…its something that just dont get mentioned nowadays. But without honesty your reputation is toast. And in this world of unethical backstabbers, a little honesty goes a long way. It’s our pricing, it’s our service, it’s us being fair to the client, and its us keep our promises.

Loyalty is next on the list. Staying in constant contact with your clients shows them that you are loyal… and yes, they will notice! Not only will they notice, they will appreciate it and extend that loyalty back to you.

The forth way is attention. Keeping it real, keeping it exciting, providing information that captures their attention will keep clients coming back for more every month.

And finally friendship. By sharing of yourself, your personality, your trials and tribulations, even your family matters you provide a more credible resource to your clients. And, its this friendship that will contribute to long lasting relationship.

Until next time,

Live with passion
